In the process of convincing the boys to break the circle they found that
they were summoned as heroes to vanquish some unspecified evil that had
come upon the land. After freeing the group, the two boys decided they'd
rather be elsewhere and ran for the hills. Once leaving the cave, our
heroes to be found their way to the local down, where there was much
cheering by the townsfolk who eventually herded them towards the old
wise-man's hut on the hill. There they met Bark Balabash the baboon
shaman. He told them of the Minstrator that had been terrorizing the
land. He also gave them directions to the evil ones keep. Before setting
off on their journey, they went to the local shopkeeper's - Honest Abdul's
Used Adventure Equipment: "Real weapons, not junk".. Abdul outfitted them
with strange tokens according to some strange criterion known only to himself.
Once bestowed with these trinkets, they began to discover various abilities.
The sword gave Cliff paladin powers, Buffy's headband endowed her with a
monk's abilities. Bart's axe made him a shadow knight. Becky's dagger
endowed her with rogue thieving abilities, Tony's bow - ranger abilities,
Dexter's skull - necromancer powers and Thelma's wand made her a wizard.
There first task was to travel to the foot of the mountains and summon the
black knight so he could show them the easy way over the mountains, After
reciting the incantation and firing three flaming arrows into the air, the
knight appeared. Only to be killed as the arrows descended into his skull.
Left with no other choice, the band ventured past the vorpal squirrel and
through the Mines of Morrey and past the two headed giant therein. After
passing the test of the great Sphinx, they came to the tower and at it's summit,
they faced the feared Min Stra'tor. Who naturally turned out to be Principle
Melwinkle, looking much better after some applications of restorative magic.
They did battle with him and the dragon he summoned to defeat him, they
destroyed the universal translator and broke his hold over the dragon, who
promptly ate him. Once again having utterly destroyed Melwinkle (because
nobody could have survived that), they clicked their heels together and
returned to the real world of Miller's Grove.
