Late one evening at sea, the lights blacked out when the ship lost power. Our stalwart heroes were awakened in the darkness by swarms of scaly deep-sea creatures swarming over the ship carrying most of the passengers (including nearly all of the cheerleaders and all of the responsible adults) over the side. Following them in a ship's boat they tracked the monsters to a derelict freighter. Searching the ship in the hopes of rescuing their missing classmates…they found the monsters were not acting randomly, but were under the direct control of an unstable megalomaniac…. None other then their old nemesis, Principle Melwinkle! Quickly seeing the possibilities of a cargo hold full of nitrate-based fertilizers on a diesel-powered freighter, they turned the ship into a huge bomb, destroying the monsters and ridding themselves of Melwinkle once and for all as the ship vanished in a huge, fiery explosion. After all, no one could have survived that.
